  3. The Purpose of T4T is to Train Trainers!

Introduction to T4T Session 7 By Session 7, each Generation 0 (G0) Team should be functioning as a church and each member should have started a new G1 T4T church and turned its leadership over to members of the church Continue meeting with the G1 church as a coach to its leaders Emphasis continued disciplines of daily prayer and Bible study. Each should be equipped with a study Bible Spend extra time with those that the Holy Spirit indicates are leader(s) Continue to circle names on your list and share your story, bridge, and short Gospel with them this week.

  5. Session 7: 1. How are You Doing?

  6. 2. Let’s Worship Be silent and think about the vastness and majesty of God. He created and owns the Universe. The Earth is like a speck of dust floating around in His Universe. We are like a speck of dust on the Earth Thus, we are like a speck of dust floating around on a speck of dust in His Universe. Yet He loves us supremely!

  7. 3. Accountability for Session #7 Ask Each; Which Book, Chapter, or Passage of the Bible did you study in your study Bible? In what ways does the study aids help in your Bible Study? Which T4T Session did you teach your G1 church this past week? How many are in your T4T G1 church (s)? Who are the leaders? How many do you now have on your list of people you know that are away from God?

  8. 4. Vision Casting Do you realize that you will receive rewards in Heaven to be enjoyed forever? Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. Revelation 22:12-13

  10. 1. Observation - What Does It SayObservation is the 1st step in Inductive Bible Study. Observation is simply the ability to see the obvious, catching the details, but it is a skill that needs to be developed. 2. Interpretation - What Does It MeanInterpretation is the 2nd Step in the Inductive Bible Study process. 3. Application - Now What!Application is the 3rd and final step in the Inductive Bible Study Process

  11. Who is speaking? Who is being spoken to? What is the setting? How Does this apply to me?

  12. Locate a Quiet, well lit place where you can concentrate Pray that the Holy Spirit will assist you. Have a cup of coffee, bottle of water nearby if you need it. Keep a Notebook (journal) and pen for making notes.

  15. Jesus is teaching His disciples about having right attitudes. The setting is on a mountain side along side of the Sea of Galilee. Since we are also His disciples, this teaching about proper attitudes applies to us as well.

  16. Blessed are those who are poor in spirit and realize their need of God, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:3 • What does it mean to be poor in spirit? This beatitude is placed first because poverty of spirit is the fundamental characteristic of the Christian. In fact,all the Christian characteristics that are described in the beatitudes that follow are in a sense the result of this one.

  17. Blessed are they who mourn, for they will be comforted. Matthew 5:4 When Jesus said: “Blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted,” He does not speak of mourning for all kinds of misery. It was mourning associated with the recognition of one’s poverty of spirit. “Blessed is the man who is moved to bitter sorrow at the realization of his own sin. The way to God is the way of the broken heart.”

  18. The reason this question should be uppermost in our minds is that if we don't have an answer to it, we will not be able to fulfill the aim of our Lord in this sermon. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the land. Matthew 5:5

Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied (Matthew 5:6) To hunger and thirst for righteousness: To know that God's holy, uncorrupted nature is the supreme treasure of the universe; to seek out, celebrate and share God's glory every day, in every circumstance; to never stop coming to Him to be made clean, made new, built stronger and higher and truer to His likeness.

  20. Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. (Matthew 5:7) To be merciful: To embrace Jesus' cross as the end of all wrath; to know in my heart of hearts that, as one forgiven an insurmountable debt, I cannot hold others to debt; to always be about His business of loving and restoring people; to remember that His Kingdom is built of sinners immaculately transformed

  21. Blessed are the clean of heart, for they will see God. Matthew 5:8 To be pure of heart: To recognize and reject unhealthy intentions; for my heart to be powered by a child-like awe and adoration of God; to allow my lingering sinful longings to starve for the sake of sitting at God's table.

  22. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. (Matthew 5: 9) To be a peacemaker: To make the focus of each encounter and every relationship the reflection of God's Gospel; to embrace and invite others into the resting place of grace. Making Peace between God and all men (reconciling) is our Commission. (II Cor. 5:20-21)

  23. Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 5:10) The eighth beatitude addresses the persecution that a Christian must endure in this life while following the example of Jesus. The life of the Christian may be a fulfilled and happy life; but it is no bed of roses either. The following reflection by mother Theresa on the eighth beatitude shows that persecution is normal for the Christian.

  24. People are unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered.Love them anyway. If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.Do good anyway. The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow.Do good anyway. Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable.Be honest and frank anyway. What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.Build anyway. People really need help but may attack you if you help them.Help people anyway. Give the world the best you’ve got and you’ll get kicked in the teeth.Give the world the best you’ve got anyway. In the final analysis, it is between you and God;It was never between you and them anyway. “Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

  25. Blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you and utter every kind of evil against you [falsely] because of me. Matthew 5: 11-12 • Rejoice and be glad, for your reward will be great in heaven

  26. “You are the Salt of the Earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor?” Matthew 5:13 “You are the Light of the World – like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden” Matthew 5:14

  27. Jesus said in Matt. 5: 16, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven." Jesus preached the Sermon on the Mount so that his Father would get the glory for the way the disciples lived. His aim was to create a lifestyle in his disciples that would make people think about the value of God.

  28. Salt must come before light because salt represents character / integrity. The church should develop salty disciples before they can be effective as Light. Short-sighted churches try to shine light without first developing saltiness in their people!

  29. As salt (character and Integrity) increases, ones light becomes brighter. Focus on Salt only results in Dead-Sea Christians! (No Life) Focus on Light only results in seed cast on hard ground and the resulting ministry will not last! Churches must balance salt (discipleship) and light (evangelism) to be relevant.

  30. In Summary: Inductive Bible Study is just that; a Study! The Purpose of IBS is to Uncover Instructions, Commandments, Commissions, etc. that are to be applied to the reader’s life!

  31. Re-arrange the team into smaller groups of 2 to 4 members 6. Practice What comes to your mind when you ponder the Vastness and Majesty of God? What should your attitude be on a daily basis as you ponder the Magnificence of God? Discuss the type of rewards that will be given for eternal enjoyment.

  32. 7. Goal Setting for Session 7 Continue operating your G0 Group as a church. Leaders should encourage each member to participate. Sitting arrangement should be in a circle rather than a pulpit facing pews. Open with prayer and a time of worship. Practice stewardship by having each member share their witnessing experience, how their G1 church is doing, and by taking an offering Have each do an Inductive Study of 1 John and be prepared to share what they got from it at the next G0 church meeting
