  2. THE NEED FOR THE MAXIMUM UTILITY • BECAUSE GOD CREATED US FOR HIS GLORY • IT IS HIS RIGHT TO CLAIM OUR LIVES • HE HAS PURCHASED US WITH HIS OWN BLOOD • ROMANS:11:36- For from Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever. Amen

  3. AN ILLUSTRATION Which fruit will you prefer ? A cheap and best juicy fruit - gives all of its extract. A tasteless fruit - does not give it’s whole eXtract

  4. In others words…. • Giving the BEST TO GOD • Then what is the best? What the customer asks for is the best in regard with the customer?

  5. What does God ask for?... What does He think to be the best?... • He asks us to FOLLOW HIM …..(mat:5: 11,27,28) • What Matthew, James and John do on hearing the call? • They left everything they had and followed Christ. • THE LIFE OF RICH YOUNG RULER (mat:19:16-23) • If you wish to be complete, (perfect i.e a best product) Go and Sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven.

  6. GOD EXPECTS FOR THE QUALITY • Every tree therefore that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into fire Luke: 3:9

  7. The Eligibility crisis for a disciple • Matthew 10:38; He who does not take his cross and follow after me is not worthy of Me. • Matthew 16:24-26 ; IF anyone wishes to come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross, and follow Me

  8. THE IF PROMISES • For whoever wishes to save his life shall lose it; but whoever LOSES HIS LIFE FOR MY SAKE SHALL SAVE HIS LIFE • ONLY BY LOSING OUR LIFE WE CAN SAVE OUR LIVES, BY NO OTHER MEANS WE CAN SAVE IT

  9. for what will a man be profited, if he gains the whole world, and forfeits his soul? Or what can a man could give in exchange to his soul • For the son of man is going to come in glory of his father with his angels; and WILL THEN RECOMPENSE EVERY MAN ACCORDING TO HIS DEEDS

  11. THE VOICE FROM HEAVEN • I HAVE BOTH GLORIFIED IT AND WILL GLORIFY IT AGAIN … NOW THE JUDGMENT IS UPON THIS WORLD. • Why was the judgment came upon this world then? • What secret did Jesus reveal here?

Questions to ask…!! • Where we should be if we are his servants? • Where was Jesus then when he said these things? • Why should even Jesus get troubled in his soul? • why should this voice be heard like a thunder to all men or why shouldn‘t this voice speak in the heart of Jesus? • What does Jesus mean by the judgment is upon this world soon after the heavenly voice?

  13. THE CUP CRISIS • You know what are you asking for. Are you able to drink the cup that I am about to drink? • FAITH speaks…, we are able!!! • What was this cup? Did these people drink this cup ? (Matt:20:22-28)

  14. What was the cup??? • The cross .. in other words the things to which we say no or yes with a painful heart SO that the name of the lord would not be dishonored but GLORIFIED CUP=CROSS=DEATH=PAIN

  15. THE SUPREME ROLE MODEL • Phil:2:3-12; • Jesus humbled (emptied) himself to the point of being killed not regarding his equality with God. • Look not for your own interest but for others.. • What is the only way to gain salvation ? (eternal life)

PETER IS PROMISED…. • “Truly , truly, I say to you, when you were younger, you used to gird yourself, and walk wherever you wished; but when you grow old, you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will gird you, and bring you where you do not wish to go. FOLLOW ME” John:21:18,19 • Simon, Simon, behold, Satan has demanded permission to sift you like wheat; BUT I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail; and you, when once you have turned again, strengthen your brothers. Luke: 22:31,32

PAUL THE BROKEN VESSEL • 1 cori: 9: 17-27; To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak; I have become all things to all men, that I may by all means save some…And I do all things for the SAKE of the GOSPEL that I may become a fellow partaker of it…But I buffet my body and make it a slave • In other words… From me I bring forth the maximum utility for the gospel to be effective thru this my mission would become an unique one which qualifies very well and it wont’ be a worthless one.

  18. THE FAITH TESTED • With Jesus in MY BOAT NO STORM CAN MAKE ME SINK • Peter walking on water (Mat:14:24-33) • Peaceful Jesus along with the scared disciples in the tossing boat amidst the storm. (Luke:18:22-25) • Your faith, being precious than gold which is perishable, even tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ

Being a crushed fruit • Being a rose trampled on the ground • When we commit our complete lives and authority over our lives and when we chose to carry the cross, pain , drink the cup with a burdened Heart for the sake of the glory of God’s name and chose to lose our lives (pride, desires, self will although they are good) in the faith that thus we will save our lives since it is the only way how marvelous works can God do through us?!!!
