Brainstorming • Many hours of deliberation/collaboration- 3 things we agreed on: • A roundtable with equal influence creates great things and we wanted this in our new organization • The wallet (purse strings) always gets attention • Instead of M&O unit we wanted an M&O “culture” LDOT statewide <Session Title>

Organizational changes • Explicit M&O role in both Central Office and Region • Using NIMS criteria and efficiency, reorganized into 5 regional offices based on geographical corridors • Elevate M&O to same status, authority as Maintenance and Construction • Creation of Strategic Assessment Office to provide Performance Measures analysis for determining performance based needs and funding • Combined Aviation, Transit, Rail to one Multimodal unit <Session Title>

  10. Staffing • Reorganization will be handled by position shifting and attrition. No one will be terminated! • Employee Commute Trip Reduction Program (Includes telecommuting) <Session Title>

  11. Management • M&O roundtable co-chaired by M&O Policy Director and Field Ops Director • Region program managers will coordinate/elevate M&O needs, issues • Region Administrator decides or elevates to Executive Round Table • Majority of multimodal staff is in Regions <Session Title>
