Background • Charles Allen, Chair of London 2012’s Nations & Regions Group (NRG) identifies tourism as a priority sector to deliver Games benefits across the UK • Consultation with private and public sector organisations to find out what is needed • VisitBritain and London 2012 NRG commence a project to connect tourism businesses with the Games-time opportunity

What you have told us you need • Clear advice on the opportunities and how to engage with them • Guidance on what is and isn’t allowed • A central forum for exchanging information and ideas • Platforms through which businesses can promote their services to Games-time and Games-motivated visitors • Incentives to help businesses deliver a magnificent welcome • Co-ordination and direction to ensure that the whole is greater than the sum of the parts
