  2. Main problems which have been appeared and some of them were solved • bug in pop related to use of the, regional mask that impacted salinty flux was diagnosed and fixed. After that models was tested and submitted in new release (racm01). • Coupling time was fixed. In CCSM4 version was only option for 1 day for ocean model. Currently it works for any time bigger then 900 seconds. Should be submitted in next release. • Main end extended grids was created for future development.

  3. Negative ice area appered. The winds was dumped (for one year). Before dumping winds it worked only for 15 days. After dumping winds the model stopped after about 30 days. • In module ocn_comp_mct.F90 main routines to hold extended grid were added. Also, option 'cpl_grid_file' in pop2_in was added and the model was tested with normal and extended grid. In extended grid there are zeros everywhere (Tony) • New release (02 and 03) was prepared (Tony) and tested. It consist of new datasets (for datm model). Works fine, but only 9 days. Models fail because of kinetic energy (> 100, POP). It suggests that some technical and parametrization problems has been fixed (this error is better then negative ice area).

To do: • Keep working on coupled ocean-ice model with datm and slnd – try to make spin up (if it will be possible) to have ready to run restart files • Add restoring mask around domain to keep climatological at that places • Check problems with kinetic energy (units, rearranging data … - can be a lot) • Maybe wind should be dumped again in new data sets

  6. To do (cont): • Preparing extended mask • Monthly data of temp and salinity (interpolated to extended grid) • Creating mask for merging data from both domains • Add some code to ocn_comp_mct.F90 to read, distribute, interpolate in time climatological data for extended domain. • Some code merging domains
