The Cultural Mosaic of Latin America: Ethnic, Linguistic, and Religious Diversity
The demographic collapse of indigenous populations in Latin America dramatically shaped the region's ethnic, linguistic, and religious diversity. The Iberian colonization led to a syncretic culture merging European and Native influences. Although European languages dominate, many indigenous languages persist. Despite discouragement from colonial powers, racial mixing flourished, resulting in a rich tapestry of ethnic identities and religious practices that continues to evolve.
