What about Friends? • Do NOT settle for just who will accept you. • Sometimes it is better to have no friends, than the wrong friends. • The wrong group can lead you down the wrong path. • Friends do not always have to be your age, the right person, although older, may be the best friend you can have.

  6. What about Sex?(I knew this would get your attention) • This is a huge decision with great consequences. (Be Careful) • Don’t wait until the “heat of the moment” to choose which path, (it may be too late) • Choose your path now, when there is no pressure. • The choice can affect: health, self image, reputation, whom you will marry and much more.

  7. What about School? • What you do about school, shapes your future • Remember, there is competition for ALL jobs in the market place. • Give yourself the best chance to get a good job, by doing as well as you can in school. • True, not everyone is going to be a straight “A” student, but to determine how well you CAN do takes maximum effort. • Don’t sell yourself short or limit your opportunities, because you… • “Don’t like school” right now

  8. Who’s in the lead? • If you don’t create a vision for yourself, someone else will. • Do not give this power to someone else, you may not like the path they choose for you.

  9. How do you come up with and “End in Mind”? Here’s a suggestion: Develop a Personal Mission Statement

  10. What is a Personal Mission Statement? • A credo or motto that states what your life is about. • It is a blueprint for your life • Nations and companies have mission statements. • Your mission statement is developed from your dreams

  11. Sample Mission Statements? First and foremost, I will remain faithful always to my God. I will not underestimate the power of family unity.
