  3. Step 1 multiply top and bottom (1+sinx) cosx(1+sinx) cosx(1+sinx) (1-sinx)(1+sinx) or 1-(sinx)^2 Simplify: 1-sinx cosx

  4. Step 2: Subtract tanx 1+(sinx) sinx cosx - tanx----> cosx

  5. Step 3: Cancel out 1+sinx - sinx 1 cosx cosx = cosx

  6. Answer 1 cosx = sec x Secx
