Background- China Environmental Protection Foundation • Founded in April 1993, China Environmental Protection Foundation (CEPF) is the first non profit organization dedicated to environmental protection in China, and an NGO in Special Consultative Status with the UN ECOSOC. • Non profit organization • Dedicated to environmental protection in China

  3. China Environmental Protection Foundation • Commend and reward organizations that have made outstanding contributions to the environmental protection cause of China • The principle of "using what is taken from the people to serve for the people, protecting the environment and working for the benefits of mankind“

  4. Mission- China Environmental Protection Foundation • To promote China's environmental protection undertaking by carrying out activities and projects with donation and raised funds from the public.To fund and commend individuals and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to China's environmental protection undertaking.

  5. Contributions- China Environmental Protection Foundation • In 2005 • April 27th “The Blue Sea Initiative” publicity was launched in People’s University of China by department of pollution control of State Environment Protection Administration and CEPF. • Dec. 1stQuGeping Scholarship was awarded to three talent students of Shandong University. • December CEPF, as the first NGO attained the special consultative status with UN ECOSOC in environmental protection, was invited by UN-Habitat as its China Partner and to assistant in “The Third World Urban Forum” opened on the 9th to 23rd of June, 2006. • Dec. 3rdChina Environmental Protection Forum2005 on Metallurgy and The Special Fund for Environmental Protection on Metallurgy of CEPF Annual Meeting opened at People’s Great Hall. More than 140 metallurgical businesses and 50 media attended the meeting.
