  3. Day 1 - Beadnell to Bamburgh via Inner Farne • Boating off a beautiful white beach at Beadnell we will head south for 1k to take a look at the ruined Dunstanburgh Castle. After a few photos we will turn back north, firstly rowing past Seahouses a working fishing port where kippers were first smoked. From here we will head out to sea and to Inner Farne Island, home to St Cuthbert who died there in 687AD.

  4. On landing we will be attacked by the arctic terns that will dive bomb you as you tour the island, seeing the abundance of wildlife including puffins, eider ducks, razorbills and more. After lunch we head back to the mainland and land in front of the iconic bamburgh castle. A castle has stood in this spot since 420ad.  • We will stay the night in bamburgh.

  5. Day 2 - Bamburgh - Holy Island • After a late start, allowing those that want to visit the castle to do so and those that don't can go seal hunting in the morning. We will then row to Holy Island. Once at Holy Island we will row along the Pilgrims Trail, which is possible to walk at low tide. • We will eat drink and be merry on Lindsfarne mead. • Staying on the Island. 

  6. Day 3 - Holy Island - Berwick upon Tweed • After sightseeing in the morning we will head out to Berwick, rowing beside the beautiful white sandy beaches. We will arrive at Berwick, ensuring you arrive for a late lunch and back onto the train or to your vehicle.  • Read more Weekend Adventures
