  4. Our Full Time Courses: • CACHE Entry Level Certificate in Preparation for Childcare (ENTRY) • CACHE Foundation Award in Caring for Children (CFCC) Level 1 • CACHE Certificate in Childcare & Education (CCE) Level 2 • CACHE Diploma in Childcare & Education (DCE) Level 3

  6. ENTRY LEVEL • CACHE Entry Level Certificate in Preparation for Childcare • 1 year course • No GCSE grades required • Subject to references and agreements • A clear CRB check • Assessed by class tasks & assignments • Success could lead to the next course CFCC

  7. CFCC Level 1 • CACHE Foundation Award in Caring for Children • 1 year course • 2 grade D’s at GCSE, 1 must be English Language • Subject to references and agreements • A clear CRB check • Assessed by assignments, exam and placement experience • Success can lead to the progression to the next course CCE. This is not a working qualification.

CCE Level 2 • CACHE Certificate in Childcare & Education • 1 year course • 2 grade C’s at GCSE, 1 must be English Language • Subject to references and agreements • A clear CRB check • Assessed by assignments, placements and an exam paper. • Success can lead to the next course DCE or work with children under supervision in many childcare settings.

DCE Level 3 • CACHE Diploma in Childcare & Education • 2 year course • 4 grade C’s at GCSE, 1 must be English Language and 1 must be another core subject • Subject to references and agreements • A clear CRB check • Assessed by assignments and placements throughout the 2 years and an exam • Success could lead to Higher Education, Degrees or work in many childcare settings without supervision.

  10. What sort of person do I need to be to work with children? • Patient • Professional • Committed • Reliable • Able to work in a team as well as alone • Hardworking

  11. WHAT WILL HAPPEN TODAY? • Introductory session • Split into groups for taster activities and interviews • A group will be taken for their individual interview at regular intervals • All will meet back here for summary and questions

  14. WHAT HAPPENS NEXT? • Your responses to the taster activities and the interview will be put together • You will be given a ‘conditional’ place on one of our courses for September • You will receive an information pack and your conditional offer/decision in the post in the near future

  15. What is a conditional offer? • You will be placed onto a childcare course that we believe suitable for you • This offer will then be subject to you achieving the required GCSE’s • Clear CRB • 2 good references • Interview outcome

Information Pack • When this comes through please read it carefully • Keep it in a safe place as you will need it once you start your course • All college and course information will be within this pack • Your enrolment date will be posted to you shortly • Remember you must send off your CRB form • Further paper work to be completed will be within your pack
