  2. About Jimi • Jimi Hendrix is widely considered the greatest guitarist that ever lived • He was born in 1942 and died in 1970 • Hendrix completely changed the face of Rock and Roll music and has been a major influence on guitarists all around the world

Interesting Facts • Hendrix died in his sleep at the age of 27 because of heavy doses of drugs and alcohol • His first name was actually Johny Allen but it was later changed by his father • He could play the guitar left handed or right but primarily played with his left • Although his primary popularity was in the USA, Hendrix spent much of his life in the UK with his girlfriend
