  3. Before Fame • Joined Army 1961 Started band called The King Casuals • Got hurt and released from service about a year later • Started playing backup for artist such as Tina Turner, Sam Cook, the Isley Bros and Little Richie

  4. Building Momentum • Jimi and Little Richi form Jimmy James and the Blue Flame • 1967 Jimi moved to England and started the Jimi Hendrix experience • Summer ‘67 Jimi came to US and rapidly gained fame. • Summer 1969 Woodstock…
