  3. Items of Discussion • What is the purpose of this test event • Overview • Key Points • Scenario Overview • Limited User Test Validation Matrix Overview • Event Exit Criteria • Reference Documents • Points of Contact • Questions

  4. Purpose of Event To determine whether Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) can use the modernized CHCS Cache product to perform critical job related functions.

  5. Event Overview • DT&E personnel are unable to change requirements. The focus of this test is whether the product operates the same as Legacy CHCS. • This event will test the CHCS Cache software application in a controlled, testing environment using simulated data metrics.

  6. Key Points • Test Duration • SME participants are free to leave once their assigned scenario execution is complete and their user feedback form has been submitted. • Test Constraints • The software product will not change during the test. • Use in room technical expertise if needed. • Scenario Test Case Order • Each SME must execute every test scenario objective. • Each test scenario objective should be completed in order. • Track your progress and make notes as you see fit.

  7. Key Points (cont) • Issue Tracking • Mercury Quality Center (MQC) will be utilized to track all issues. (overview of MQC at the end of this presentation) • When a problem is encountered ask for help from personnel in the room……DT&E personnel or PO. • Create a screenshot of the issue. • The issue must be reproducible. • If a valid issue, DT&E will enter the issue in MQC with SME oversight. • Receive an Issue Number from DT&E. • All test artifacts will be captured and attached to the issue in MQC.

  8. Key Points (cont) • Severity Levels and their descriptions: • Severity 1 The failure prevents the accomplishment of an operational or mission essential capability. • Severity 2 The failure adversely affects the accomplishment of an operational or mission-essential capability and no known work-around solution exists. • Severity 3 The failure adversely affects the accomplishment of an operational or mission-essential capability, but a known work-around solution exists. • Severity 4 The failure results in user or operator inconvenience or annoyance but does not affect a required operational or mission-essential capability. • Severity 5 The issue either requires action, but does not readily fall into any of the other four severity categories or does not require action at the current time (may represent a future requirement).

  9. Key Points (cont) • Testing Resources • Event Facilitator • Program Office • Developer • Test Lab Facility • The Test Lab will be available to you starting at 8:00a.m. EST daily. • Eating and/or drinking is permitted in the Test Lab. Please be careful and clean up after yourselves. • All sidebar conversations should be held outside the Test Lab. • Restrooms are located outside the ATIC near the elevators.

  10. Scenario Overview • Meant to cover major functional areas of CHCS, as well as a representation of the “flow” of patient care. • Not a step-by-step guide. • General scenario demonstrates that a CHCS end user can use the Cache product to meet the objectives or requirements of their job with the same effectiveness as the Legacy product. • All data elements listed in the scenarios must be followed during execution without exception.

  11. LUT Validation Matrix Overview • Set of activities, organized by functional CHCS components, to be completed during the Limited User Test as a validation of successful Cache conversion • Need to assess validation steps and provide suggested supplemental steps if applicable

  12. Event Exit Criteria • All assigned scenarios have been executed • LUT Cache Conversion Validation Matrix has been reviewed • User feedback form has been completed

  13. Reference Documents • SME Test Scenario Booklets • Welcome Letter • Tips for Testers • Severity Level Descriptions • MQCInstructions • Scenarios • LUT Matrix User Feedback Forms
