    6. Spray ‘N Save Program Program offers a high efficiency kitchen low–flow pre–rinse spray valve retro–fit at no cost. Customer can save up to $1,000/yr in water heating and $700/ yr in water usage. *(Savings will vary on restaurant usage, equipment type and energy prices) Qualifications for program: Food Service customers using Natural gas water heater. New construction is not eligible. Limit 2 installations per restaurant location.

    7. Air Doors An air door creates an air current that flows across the door opening, separating the indoor and outdoor environments. Ideal for heavily trafficked entranceways and restaurants with patios. An air door eliminates the problem of losing heated or air-conditioned air every time a door is opened and closed. Customers also benefit from the improved indoor environment as the air door is able to help seal out smoke, smog, dust and insects.

    8. Program Elements Incentive: The program offers customers a $300 rebate on the purchase and installation of an air door unit for a single (three to four feet) entrance or $600 for a double (six to eight feet) entrance. Qualifications for program: Entrance must be a pedestrian entranceway and not a loading door. New construction is eligible. Applications are received through a mail-in rebate with the proof of purchase. Air door must be purchased through one of the following participating manufactures: Enershield – www.enershield.ca Biddle – www.biddle.ca Miniveil – www.davis-energy.com

    9. Demand Control Kitchen Ventilation Program Unlike traditional ventilation systems that operate at one speed only, a Demand Control Kitchen Ventilation System responds to changes in stove usage. In other words, when stoves are idle or only a few burners are in use, the exhaust fans will reduce speed. When stoves are operating at full capacity, the fans will increase speed.

Program Elements Incentive: Based on tiered ventilation rating: Ventilation 0-5,000 CFM - $1000 rebate Ventilation 5,001-10,000 CFM - $1,500 rebate Ventilation > 10,000 CFM - $2,000 Qualifications for program: Proof of purchase and installation required. Receipt must indicate ventilation CFM rating. New Construction is eligible.     11. Rooftop Unit Program Qualifications for program: Customer must install a natural gas two stage heating rooftop unit that replaces a one stage unit. New construction is eligible. New unit must be 5 tons and under. Proof of purchase and installation required. Incentive: $450 per rooftop unit – (cheque)

New Construction is eligible. Qualifications for program: System must be manufactured by one of our qualified participating manufacturers.     14. High Efficiency Furnace Program Program offers commercial customers a $100 rebate on the installation of high efficiency furnace. Qualifications for programs: Installations can be from gas to gas or from another source of fuel to natural gas. Furnaces under 300,000 BTU/h only eligible. New construction is not eligible. Proof of purchase and installation required.

    15. Programmable Thermostat Program Program offers commercial customers a $15 rebate on the installation of a programmable thermostat Qualifications for programs: Must be installed in conjunction with a natural gas heating system. New construction is not eligible. Proof of purchase required.

    21. It is a 5 year program with a 3 year application and pre-approval period to December 2010 plus 2 years to complete build out & review (December 2012). In instances where the building permit has been issued after August 2007 we will be able to grandfather these projects into the program. The program covers the entire Province of Ontario excluding the 416 area code. The OPA defines “kW Savings” as summer peak reductions during the period of 7 am to 8 pm from Monday to Friday June to September. OPA HPNC Program
