  2. How did Geography influence Ancient Greece? 1) Proximity to sea helps with trade (imports and exports.) 2)Mountains made it hard to communicate , so the city state was born.

  3. How did the Medic wars influence Ancient Greece? 1)The first Allies were created between the city states of Greece to team up against the Persians. 2) Discovered that Athenian warships were superior. 3) Athens became a flourishing city and had power over rest of Greece

  4. How was Athens Sociocultural life organized? Groups Definition Men over 20 who owned and and ruled the city. Men, women and children who are from another land. (immigrants) Owned by the rich • 1) Citizens • 2) Wives and children of Citizens. • 3) Metics • 4) Slaves

  5. Families and Educationin a citizen family • Separate spheres Men took care of affairs outside the home. Women `s chores were inside the home. Women belonged to their husbands or fathers their whole life. Girls and boys received different educations because they grew up to play different roles.
