  13. Columbia Valley Acclaims 2011 River’s Red – 89 Points & Best BuyA very fine edition of River’s Red, this returns Merlot to the first chair (55%) positions, with Syrah and Cab Franc splitting the rest. Sturdy, chewy, bone dry, tannic and authoritative, it’s a quintessential steak wine. Cassis, earth, hints of dried mushroom and those stiff but powerful tannins combine to make this a standout at the price. Best Buy. –June 2013 2010 Insania White – 92 Points& Editors’ Choice “This Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc blend is firm, powerful and polished. The fruit runs the gamut from citrus to melon to white peach, finishing with some youthful bite. Already a succulent, mouth filling gem, but should improve for another five years. Editors’ Choice.” - July 2012 2010 Insania Red – 91 Points Produced by Three Rivers for celebrity winemaker Geoff Tate, this new Insania is a full-on Bordeaux blend, with all five red grapes in the mix. It’s a powerful wine, with heavy metal flavors of deep black fruits and thick tannins. Pair it with a juicy steak or Kobe beef burger and rock on. –June 2013 2011 Columbia Valley Riesling – 88 Points, Wine Enthusiast “This off-dry Riesling has enough acid to balance the 2.7% residual sugar. Aromas of flower and citrus blossom lead into lemon-driven fruit. There is just a bit of a granular, sugar-like feeling on the tongue.”- February 2013

  14. Columbia Valley Acclaims Continued 2010 River’s Red – 89 Points, Wine Spectator “Fresh and juicy, with a peppery note adding interest to the blueberry and cream flavors. Finishes with a light grip of tannins. Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Drink now through 2016. 723 cases made.” - March 2013 2011 River’s Red – 90 Points, Tasting Panel Magazine “Smooth and velvety with ripe plum, blackberry, and juicy acidity; deep, lush and seamless with lovely texture and style; long and rich.” –June 2013 2009 Columbia Valley PetiteVerdot – 90 Points, Wine Spectator 90 Points, Tasting Panel Magazine “Firm in texture, offering pretty, rose petal inflected red berry flavors that linger with refinement against powdery tannins. Drink now through 2015. 280 cases made.” –HS “Dark and intense with ripe blackberry and cassis; rich and meaty with tangy acidity and rich, expressive flavors.”

  15. Columbia Valley Acclaims Continued 2010 Columbia Valley Merlot – 89 Points, Connoisseurs' Guide “Classically focused Merlot aromas of ripe red cherries, hints of rich herbs and caramel and milk chocolate notes that are common to Washington versions of the variety presage a full and rich wine on the palate. Lively in its fruit and mouthfilling in texture, this wine flirts with high ripeness but pulls back and instead keeps its focus on varietal character. Its moderate tannins will hold it in good stead for a half decade, and it is about as good as it gets in a Merlot for less than $20.00.” -March 2013 2010 Columbia Valley Malbec – 88 Points, Wine Enthusiast“Once past a surprisingly minty open, this stiff and earthy Malbec tightens up into a Bordeaux-like cocoon. It’s an austere wine that slowly reveals dark cassis fruit, dried herbs, and a finishing whiff of coconut. Give it plenty of breathing time, or decant.” – June 2013 2009 Walla Walla Cabernet Sauvignon- 91 Points, Tanzer “Good deep red. Highly nuanced aromas of redcurrant, mocha, cocoa powder, tobacco, olive and sexy brown spices. At once generous and lively, with ripe acidity giving the dark cherry flavor a refined quality. A nicely fruity, concentrated midweight with a long, smooth finish featuring serious but suave palate-coating tannins.” -Nov/Dec 2012

  16. Columbia Valley Acclaims Continued 2009 Columbia Valley Malbec – 89 Points & Best Buy, Wine & Spirits “This wine’s spicy scents of black plum and carob are dusted with a yeasty accent. The fruit is scant, the flavors spicy and dense—plum cake and mocha—with a chewy texture that suggests serving it with barbecue.” - October 2012 2010 Columbia Valley Malbec – 90 Points & Best Buy, Wine & Spirits Text to come, August 2013. 2009 Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon– 91 Points & Best Buy, Wine & Spirits “There's tension between the fruit and the savory elements of this wine. The tobacco notes and the hint of evergreen hearken back to traditional cabernet styles, but the dark, sweet fruit is as modern as it comes, with a healthy tannic grip that suggests this is a Best Buy you can cellar.” - February 2013 2010 Insania Red – 89 Points, Wine & Spirits Text to come August 2013

  17. Vineyard Designate Acclaims 2009 Walla Walla Cabernet Sauvignon – 90 Points, Wine & Spirits “This powerful red leads with cola scents of oak, flashy at first until the wine absorbs some air, revealing a black plum flavor. After a day the fruit and floral elements are more fully released, a hint of violet, a brace of gripping tannin. This needs time to knit.” - October 2012 2009 Champoux Cabernet Sauvignon – 90 Points, Wine & Spirits “Savory scents of olive, tobacco leaf and sundried tomato adorn black cherry and plum flavors, all lifted by a prickle of tangy acidity. The flavors are vinous rather than fruity, melding scents of dried leaves, tanbark and minerals into the tannins, which are firm and driving. Give it time to come together, then serve with steak.” - February 2013
