  5. Why Recycle? Only 30% is Recycled …but much more could be.

  11. What Can You Recycle? Plastic • There are 7 types of plastic, identifiable by the triangle with a number in the middle. • Look for the symbol on the bottom of the bottle • Certain numbers may not be recyclable in your area.

Set Up a Home Recycle Center **Recyclables need to be sorted by XXXXXXX • In the kitchen, instead of one can, have two cans • Place all plastics, metals, and glass in one can • Put everything else in the 2nd can • In the living room, have one can dedicated to paper • Place all paper products in one can • All other trash in the 2nd can • Take out the recycling when you take out the trash
