  6. C Series

  7. C Series Stainless Design Benefits • SEALLESS - No Mechanical Seal, Magnetic Drives or Packing. • SELF ADJUSTING - Maintains the delivery/ pressure performance over time with automatic disk/cylinder wear adjustment. • DRY PRIME - Self priming and able to dry-run for up to 10 minutes. Capable of complete line stripping of suction and discharge pipes of residuals. • 3A APPROVED - 3A and EHEDG (European Hygienic Equipment Design Group) certification, All wetted parts have a 0.8 Ra finish. • CIP - Pump is designed to be flushed and cleaned in place without disassembly and has the capability to be completely drained. • HIGH VOLUMETRIC EFFICIENCY - Pump is able to maintain a constant flow rate at a given viscosity throughout its pressure range. • LOW SHEAR - Very careful handling of the product (Ultra low agitation and shear)

  8. Sanitary Approval

  15. C Series How Does It Work?

  16. C Series Drive shaft machined on 4 different planes

  17. Shaft C Series

  18. Bellows C Series

  19. C Series

  20. C Series RADIALLY SELF-ADJUSTING Max clearance = .04 mm shaft cylinder radial spring loading disc Radial spring maintains close tolerance between cylinder/disc

  21. C Series AXIALLY SELF-ADJUSTING shaft hub axial spring loading Spring action pulls the disc towards the cylinder

  22. C Series Radial SpringSet Axial SpringSet

  23. C Series General Disassembly

  24. C Series 1. Remove nuts 2. Remove bolts

  25. C Series 1. Remove spacer and seal rings

  26. C Series Using TWO wrenches, loosen the nut NOTE: DO NOT ALLOW THE DISC TO ROTATE AS YOU WILL DAMAGE THE BELLOWS!

  27. C Series Remove the nut and seal ring

  28. C Series Remove the disc and cylinder

  29. C Series Remove the 2 seal rings

  30. C Series Remove Suction HousingTie Bolts Remove the nuts and bracket bolts

  31. C Series 1. Gently tap on the back of the bracket (104) 2. Release the intake tube NOTE: DO NOT STRIKE THE BELLOWS AS DAMAGE WILL OCCUR!

  32. C Series General Reassemble

  33. C Series 1. Rotate the intake tube to desired location NOTE: DO NOT STRIKE THE BELLOWS AS DAMAGE WILL OCCUR!

  34. C Series Insure the beveled sides of the cylinder are in alignment with the hole in the disc

  35. C Series Insure the notch in the cylinder aligns with the pin in the bracket

  36. C Series (Another view)

  37. C Series Install the seal ring and the nut

  38. C Series Using TWO wrenches, tighten the nut NOTE: DO NOT ALLOW THE DISC TO ROTATE AS YOU WILL DAMAGE THE BELLOWS!

  39. C Series Install the first seal ring, the spacer and the second seal ring

  40. C Series Install the bolts and nuts Torque the nuts in accordance with the IOM

  41. C Series Relief Valve Iron Pump Only

  42. C Series Relief Valve Function

  43. C Series Adjust relief valve setting by removing cap. Turn adjusting nut down to increase pressure setting. Turn adjusting nut up to decrease pressure setting.

  44. C Series

  45. C Series Cylinder & Disc Dimensions

  46. C Series Minimum Dimensions “A” “B” If dimensions are less than minimum, a new assembly is required.

  47. C Series Transmission Lubrication

  48. C Series It is recommended the transmission lubricant be changed every 5000 hours of operation Drain transmission by removing drain plug and seal washer

  49. C Series Replace plug and fill will appropriate grade of castor oil. Quantity is based on model (See IOM)

  50. Bearing Lubrication Standard Oil is ISO VG 68 Castor Oil Viscosity Range from 8 cst @ 110°C(230°F) to 5500 cst @ 0°C (32°F) Other Lubrication Oil Can Be Provided With Blackmer Approval
