  2. Objectives for Today’s Session Explore ways in which technology tools can enhance the relevancy of Manatee Core Curriculum, increasing student motivation and engagement. Highlight three District Technology Resources available to teachers: netTrekker, Inspiration, and Discovery Education.

Technology & Learning 2010-2011 School District of Manatee County: Strategic Plan Technology and Learning Strategy: We will transform the teaching, learning, and operational environments by maximizing the effective use of technology throughout the system so all students and employees will achieve our district mission.

  9. Directed Grade Level Exploration Meet by Grade Level Select One of the Technology Tools we have overviewed Explore the technology tool you select for a resource that would enhance the relevance, student motivation and engagement of a Core Curriculum lesson you will be teaching.

  10. Directed Department Exploration Return to your department teams. Share the resource you explored and how you believe it would enhance the relevance of the content being taught in the core curriculum lesson you selected and increase student engagement and motivation.

  11. Whole Group Share Out Each Department Team selects one resource or activity they wish to highlight for the whole group.
