  2. Importance of teeth Teeth play an important role in digestion. This is done by chewing our food into smaller pieces thus making it easier to swallow.

  3. The structure of a Tooth Tooth is divided into 3 regions: • Crown • Root • Neck The part of the tooth we see is covered by a hard substance called enamel. Under this is the dentine with innermost part called the pulp cavity. The root is covered by a layer of cement which attaches the root to the jaw.
