First off, try not to put every single word that you are going to say throughout your speech on your PowerPoint slides. This becomes very boring for your audience and it distracts from you, as the speaker, because they are so busy trying to read your slide. Also, make sure you don’t read entirely off each slide as it comes up on the screen. The slides are meant to be visual aids to help assist you during your speech… PowerPoint slides
…and to help you explain your points a little bit more . They should be eye-catching and organized, but not over done. If you just continue to read off the slide, you will lose your credibility because no one will believe that you know and are confident in what you are talking about. Remember, you are supposed to be an “expert” on your topic.
