Today’s Agenda • Journal • Turn in summer assignments • Set up binder tabs • Nametags for desk plus “Three Things…” and share • Examples of reductions and rubric • Go to bookroom for textbook and Beowulf. Please sign out on sheet. You are responsible for each text. • Assignments: • Socratic Seminar Questions and prep: due Friday 9/9 • Reduction due Monday, 9/12 • 15 Details on Sophocles due Monday, 9/12. Typed, in complete sentences please. • Textbook: Reading and notes The Anglo-Saxon Period (449 BCE-1066 BCE) pages 16-21, 28-31, and Beowulf new translation by Seamus Heaney by Monday, 9/19.
