  3. My Senior Project Analysis I can relate to this article to my own experience, when I was a senior in high school the senior project was very dull but it was important my senior year. If you wouldn't do it you wouldn't pass English 12 meaning you wont graduate. I still remember when Mrs. Marsh would explain it I would basically fall asleep. I felt like if she would make it seem more interesting it would catch my attention. I also feel like if the teachers don't make an assignment fun usually the students think its dull and won't even pay attention and complete the task. Since it was an assignment that was important I used self–transcendence by making my personal progress in the senior project because it was my goal to finish the assignment that was important in my English ...Get more content on HelpWriting.Net...

  4. Reflection Of Senior Project The time I had a problem was in my 12th–grade year, there were senior projects due before we got to graduate on time. Although I found some social solutions with the help of others like my teachers, my principal, and other classmates. First off, my first solution was to talk to my English teacher to see if he can help me by talking my senior advisor and to see if I can log in my hours late. Meanwhile, Mr. Wagner told me to log some hours in to get some credits although it was difficult because of the time we had. Next, my second option was to talk to my principal to see if I can do something about my hours, when I went to talk to the principal her solution was to still log in my hours and get close to the hours that was needed. 5. Senior Project Essay: The Four Choices Senior Project essay Of the four available choices for a senior project, I chose self–development. I wanted to challenge myself and see how well I could plan and complete a time–consuming project. In order to achieve this goal, I delved into 3dmodeling and design. After getting comfortable with 3dmodeling I decided to create a chess board. I enjoy playing chess equally as much as I love working with computers. This project was a married combination of my two favorite things. I was inspired to pursue 3dmodelling from many of the past (and recent) engineering classes I had taken. In the past, I took Basic Drafting and Intro to Engineering where a large majority of our assignments involves manufacturing an object using a 3dmodelling software...show more content... This machines ranged from the table saw, to the orbital sander and the laser engraver. After I completed my chess board I decided that it was time to find a mentor. I felt the best candidate for my mentor was Ephraim Nikoi (an associate professor of Creative arts at University of Wisconsin– Superior). I chose Ephraim as my mentor because my project involved the creation of a product and the selling and marketing of said product. Ephraim had completed many years of studying creative arts and communication art. "Communication arts focuses on the many ways that people communicate with each other. This includes broad journalism, advertising, digital media and performing arts" (in text citation). He was the perfect candidate to be my mentor. By having Ephraim as my mentor I learned to create a detailed plan to effectively market my product. This plan included who my target audience was (a student body of 1,500 students), my means of advertising (the school newspaper and various social media sites), and how I planned to sell my chess board (online marketing through Amazon and possibly trying to get it into a ...Get more content on HelpWriting.Net...

  6. Senior Seminar Project Essay For my Senior Seminar project, I plan to write a novel. I always had a passion for writing, but I never shared my writing with anyone except teachers for classwork. My whole life people may not know I am actually a very shy person, I have always felt that because I am on an IEP that I have experienced and have felt judgement. I want to get out of my comfort zone and show people my own creativity through the art of writing and show people that just because you are in a different classroom with different people does not mean you are any lower than them. My inspiration to write my novel was my English teacher, Mrs.Cray, she always pushed me to my limits to be a better writer. I may not know a lot about writing a novel, but I am delighted to learn a new experience with characterization, settings, symbolism, and backgrounds and developing a plot line for my story in general. Once I finish with my project I will continue to strengthen my writing skills and publish more...show more content... I will allocate 10 hours with my on–site advisor, 30 hours of my research will be at the New Albany High School and the Columbus Metropolitan Library. The last 80 hours I will spend working on my novel at the Columbus Metropolitan Library and within the New Albany High School. For transportation I will walk to the library each day after school to work on my novel. I will compose one chapter each week until March so I have time to make my book into hard copies using Lulu.com. For this project my on–site advisor is Mrs. Dawn Psurny who is an Intervention Specialist in the high school, she can be contacted by emailing her at psurny.1@napls.us . I choose Mrs.Psurny to be my on–site advisor because I made a connection with her on writing my essays for her. She has such a big passion for writing and reading. She also has a vast amount of knowledge in this field and I am confident that she will give me great feedback and honesty for my ...Get more content on HelpWriting.Net...

  8. My Senior Project Essay My senior project was a puppy house. A puppy house is a small shed that houses puppies that are older than four weeks. It has heat, water, and insulation. It is meant to house puppies until they are old enough to leave it. I built this puppy house for puppies that could no longer stay in a small cage with their mothers. I also built it because my grandparents needed it before winter. I had a total of 88 hours on my project. Some of the biggest problems I faced were measuring wrong and weather conditions. Sometimes I would measure the boards wrong and then cut them and they wouldn't fit where they were suppose to go. I had puppies that had to be into a heated environment before winter, so I tried to work on it as much as I could each day. it had to be done before christmas. I worked with my grandpa the entire time. I needed him there to teach me how to do all the stuff I know how to do now. He was basically my supervisor, and mentor. He would tell me what to do and how to do it, and then I would just do it. He taught me all the things I needed to know to finish this project. I learned a lot of techniques and skills while doing this project. I learned how to put up siding. I also learned how to put insulation on both outside and...show more content... I can also say now that I know how to build a building. It was also a great experience because I felt like I was at an active construction site. For the most part the design of the project never really changed, except for a window that we added at the back of the building for ventilation purposes. The outcome of the building was almost exactly the same as the blueprints we made for it. This project taught me that I can do anything that I put my mind to. The shed turned out exactly like I wanted, there isn't any changes I really needed to make to it. Maybe in the future as we use it, we might find something we want to ...Get more content on HelpWriting.Net...

  9. Senior Project Personal Statement I completed my senior project at the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA). Through the course of the project I learned about the engineering division's responsibilities within RTA and received the full picture of how a large construction project is built from beginning to end. I greatly benefited from this experience as it has increased my interest in the engineering field. The main objective of this project was to experience what a career in civil engineering would resemble. In order to achieve my goal of becoming familiar with the project development process and funding sources, I attended project meetings, visited active construction sites, and became familiar with engineering plans and drawings (both civil and architectural). In addition, I learned about project scheduling, oversight, and maintenance. I...show more content... Positively, my experiences have assured me that the engineering field is one I want to pursue, regardless of what specific type I choose. Additionally, I was exposed to the diverse opportunities within civil engineering, including transit engineering, bridge engineering, environmental engineering, roadway design, and construction management. I appreciated the variety of paths and options that are available to follow in the future. For instance, I also shadowed a bridge engineer at RTA and was able to ride in a lift up to the viaduct bridge to observe maintenance occurring and learn about the inspection process. Notably, another experience I enjoyed was touring the rail shop. The behind the scenes look of how the trains run and the intricate electric systems that control the railway was intriguing. Conversely, the one negative I experienced in working within the public sector was the lack of funding and thus the extensive time required for projects to begin ...Get more content on HelpWriting.Net...

  10. Senior Project Work Experience While still under employment at IPS I was made aware of a senior project that the owner Mike Brask wanted me to do for my project; he has had experience with SUU students beforehand and had a project prepared. The basics of my project would be based around SolidWorks as well as their new CNC (computer numeric controlled) Lathe that had just been purchased. While working on my senior project I was able to experience new training, new machines as well as hand programming for CNC machines. The current software, AutoCAD was currently being used with a combination of MasterCam. AutoCAD would support the design work while MasterCam would be used to program the CNC router. The new program, SolidWorks would be used to convert all of the flat models...show more content... Although there was a late start with getting the machine, it did give ample time to get the correct sub–programs working for the lathe. These are called post processors, they can tell MasterCam what type of machine it is working with, and how to control its specific parameters. They also hold very important bits of information such as where the tool holder is and the home position for the machine. I worked with Marc Sullivan from Remote Machining to be able to understand and get the correct post processor working, he was able to walk me through the process of setting up the SolidWorks to communicate with the ...Get more content on HelpWriting.Net...

  11. Food Waste Senior Project In this summary I will briefly explain the entirety of my senior project essay which has to do with food waste. I will talk about four major sections in which I divided my senior project into to help me write it. First was how much food is wasted not just here in the U.S. alone, but the world in general, second describes the negative affects food waste has in the world, third explains and gives reasons why some of this food goes to waste, and finally the final section gives the reader information on how we as individuals and as a nation combined can reduce the amount of food waste. The first half of my essay mainly consists of the first and second sections. The first section I talk about how much food the U.S. and the world in general waste ...Get more content on HelpWriting.Net...

  12. Senior Project Reflection Essay From hard work, comes success. At the beginning of the year, I did not know how I was going to be successful when it came to Senior Project. I had multiple ideas with what I wanted to do, I was struggling to find connections, and I was even going to be a part of a completely different group. I tried one idea, that failed. I tried another idea, that failed. I thought to myself, "What am I going to do???" All my ideas had one thing in common: photography. I knew for sure I wanted to use photography as a way to help others or bring awareness to a certain issue. It was not until late September when I figured everything out. It was the end of cheer practice and Ms. Korba was handing out pink cheer bows for us to wear during the month of October...show more content... I learned the value of hard work, communication, and doing something that I was passionate about. By working on a project I was passionate about, I was able to not only sustain my passion throughout the year but to also let it grow even more. Knowing that all my hard work would be benefitting animals definitely made everything easier, whether it was researching animal welfare and animal homelessness, volunteering at and working directly with animal shelters, creating bows, or advertising Bows for Paws. Not only did I feel good about myself and my project, I felt good about all the animals that would get adequate and be given a second chance at happiness. In the future, I will definitely use the skills I learned from this project. However, I believe that I could have done more to improve, such as managing my time more wisely and expanding my network. Therefore, the next time I have a longterm project, I will stick to my planner and always set goals for myself. I will set time aside and prioritize my project, rather than thinking I can just do it the next day. By being organized, especially with time, I can finish early, have time for other activities, be less stressed and get more sleep. In addition to managing my time more wisely, I can also expand my network rather than just working with one person. By doing so, I will meet more people who share the same passion as me. This can also lead to more opportunities because such ...Get more content on HelpWriting.Net...

  13. Senior Project Essay Your senior thesis in art is a culmination of everything you've learned throughout the four years of art school. However, it's much more than that. It can be the thing that puts you on the front lines of a major issue or problem. It can also push you to try new materials or even work with new people. If you're about ready to choose your senior project keep the following four pointers in mind. They'll keep you on the right track. At the same time, they'll ensure that you turn out a truly unique project. 1. Choose the Right Advisor Big projects can get unwieldy and overwhelming for the inexperienced. Choosing the right advisor can help you navigate the unforeseen challenges that you face. The person who's an expert in the topic you want to explore or the medium can do you a world of good. He or she can also help you stay off the rocks so to speak as you navigate the sometimes rough waters of a senior project....show more content... Solve a Problem Just because you're in art school doesn't mean that you need to only look at the aesthetic value of your project. Can you solve a problem as you do your thesis? This is one approach that U.S. News and World Report suggests that people take. Many of the most innovative designs have solved common problems. Think about products like jackets that turn into sleeping bags for the homeless or paper books that function as water filters (to be used by people living in areas where getting clean water is an issue.) These kinds of projects solved some very real problems in the world today. 3. Make Sure That You Can Access the Right Materials Maybe you like old cardboard boxes. Perhaps you'd love to do a project with them. However, at the end of the day, these types of materials may not be enough to sustain your project. They may also not be enough to make your project ...Get more content on HelpWriting.Net...

  14. Senior Project Reflection Thank you for taking time out of your day to look at my Senior Project Portfolio. Over the past six months, I have been working on learning how to play the piano. Playing a musical instrument has dependably been one of my objective since I was a kid. Learning how to play a musical instrument has been always been a challenge for me. When I think about piano, it is another method for getting away from my life when being stressed just like how art is for me. Throughout my Senior Project, learning the piano has taught me important skills that grown ups used in the real world. I have learned transferable skills that will help me beyond high school and into the real world of adults. Timeliness, that I start to use my habit of arriving early to meet up with my mentor because sometimes you don't know if you'll face traffic on the way or a road close, and being early or on time makes a good impression with the person you're working with. Another skill I have learned to improve on is prioritize an important event, that I learned to see which assignment is important and need to be done before having to start with the other assignments. Balancing both college class and Senior Project as well as Political Studies assignment throughout each week...show more content... I have missed days because I went to vacation three times but with managing my time and a well planned out schedule, I have done more hours than I have thought. With being organized, communication played a big part because planning a schedule to meet and do my Senior Project with my mentor, seeing which days would work for both of us and if one of use is sick and won't be able to meet. Without communication, it would confuse my mentor and I and not have a fixed schedule. I learned communication is important to be on the same page as the people you are working ...Get more content on HelpWriting.Net...

  15. Nursing Although most people think they can get away with picking an easy topic for their senior projects it turns out to be a little more complex than that. Growing up my ideas and passions would always seem to be changing but when I finally became set in my ways at least in knowing what I would like to pursue the Nursing Program was up to par. I chose to do mine on Nursing in the ED (emergency department) because this is a field I would love to go into so I can be of service to those in need of any medical care, to always have a stable job to rely on, and further more to be able to excel in the field of medicine. I would love to be one of the people on call to respond to the needs of another individual in their time of need. Anyone could only...show more content... 16. Senior Design Project My goal for this last additional activity was to learn more about an important aspect of senior year: Senior Design. In each engineering department, seniors must complete a design project in which they communicate with a customer in order to solve and engineering problem. I held an informational interview with a mechanical engineering major, Cat Yip. Senior design in the Biomedical Engineering Department is similar to that of the Mechanical Engineering Department. Both require a design seminar, or class in which one learns the appropriate steps of design from initial contact with the customer to prototypic and official approval. While speaking to Cat, she emphasized that senior design is a culmination of everything that an engineering major has learned throughout their four years and provides a real life...show more content... However, I spoke to a Peer Advisor in the Biomedical Engineering Department and she said that it is different in our department. Rather than the professor assigning projects to specific groups, each individual applies for a project, and if they are accepted they form a group with the other students who are accepted. Cat's project was to create a model of a periscope to be place in New Rochelle, NY with the purpose of being able to see the water front from downtown. I found it very interesting that Cat was drawn to the artistic part of the project. As an engineering major, it can be hard to remember that art is an integral part of design, because the course work is so math and physics heavy. Although it may be different in the Biomedical Engineering Department, I will keep in mind my various interests, like art, sports, and dance, when applying for my project as a senior. In biomedical engineering, the projects will be less focused on art and building, and more focused on medical ...Get more content on HelpWriting.Net...

  17. Senior Project Idea Essay Throughout High School past students, teacher, and fellow scholars have told me to "Start thinking of a Senior Project Idea", for me, at least I feel I've heard this remark since I was a Freshman. So I did, I thought and I thought, but it always seemed like I just kind of saw someone else's project and said to myself "ok, I'll do that", but I had come to recognize that I don't want my project to be like somebody else, I want my project to be unique. When I started brainstorming my project I wanted to something with sports Baseball or Basketball, whichever one I could really think of a powerful meaningful idea. To be honest when I first started to brainstorm ideas I guess that I felt more that the idea was going to flow to me, but then I realized that I had to reach out and seek opportunities...show more content... He got back to me rather quickly and told me various ideas, but one of them caught my eye and it was something that was right there the whole time: Coaching. Since I was young, I have been very blessed to have had the opportunity to learn from so many coaches, I knew it would be a superb opportunity to get myself involved in coaching. It was important for me to find a valuable way to enter into coaching and that's when I learned the clear way to get involved in coaching is by entering into youth sports. But, I still felt that the coaching part itself was not enough to get me through the year, so I decided to implicate another part of my project. 18. Senior Project Essay Introduction Fictional Writing is literature that is written by an authors to produce stories with a goal to entertain the reader reading the story or for the author to tell their point of view in the story. The result of the written piece of fiction doesn't have to be a long novel; The finished piece of fictional literature that the author wrote could also be a short story or a poem. Fictional pieces of literature don't have to be written by authors but by playwright and scriptwriters who write for plays, television shows, and video games with important parts of their fictional writing being on the characters, the plot, the setting, the theme, the style of their writing and tone towards different subjects that are present in the fictional story that is written. The reason why I picked fictional writing as the topic for my senior project is my interest in fictional writing. I have always liked to read novels and short stories by authors who make a living writing short stories, novels, and series that are fictional and the fact that I write short stories and novels in my free time when I'm not obligated to do anything school or college related. I plan to use the field at the Bow Youth Center as a location for my clinic, in which there will be 3 different stations– hitting, throwing, and fielding. The stations will be run on Mondays and Wednesdays, and on Fridays, there will be a t–ball game in which kids will be able to put their learned skills to use. For the volunteer hours, I plan to job shadow the PE teacher at Abbot Downing School in Concord. I will drive down 4 times a week (Tuesday/Thursday from 11:45 to 1:00 and Wednesday/Friday from 1:30–2:30) and complete my job shadow, which could involve anything from me helping set up games and activities, helping run the activities during gym class, and cleaning up afterwards.
