  1. Steps of Salvation O LORD, I know the way of man is not in himself; It is not in man who walks to direct his own steps(Jer. 10:23). Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path(Psa. 119:105). But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him(Heb. 11:6). And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature”(Mk. 16:15). So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Rom. 10:17).

  2. Steps of Salvation Then Agrippa said to Paul, “You almost persuade me to become a Christian” (Acts 26:28). Nevertheless even among the rulers many believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue; for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God (Jn. 12:42-43). Then He began to rebuke the cities in which most of His mighty works had been done, because they did not repent (Matt. 11:20). For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God (1 Cor. 1:18). Then they cried out with a loud voice, stopped their ears, and ran at him with one accord (Acts 7:57). “It’s the blood of Christ that saves, NOT water.” Let’s see what part baptism plays in salvation! Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins… (Acts 22:16). Blood is the cleansing agent! Baptism is When the Blood is applied!

There is also an antitype which now saves us--baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ (1 Pet. 3:21). Blood Cleanses the Conscience! When one is baptized!
