  4. Ice Cream Social • Date: Friday, October 12th • Time: 6:00-7:30 PM • Location: McNair Lecture Room 1 • FREE!

  5. Adopt a Street • C.A.S.E. Approved • Date: Saturday October 20th, 2012 • Time: 10AM - 12 PM • Meet in McNair parking lot at 9:45AM

  6. 2 Hype! -n- Your House • Date: Tuesday October 16th, 2012 • Time: 7pm-9pm • Location: Pride Hall • Description:Residential Hall Study Session

  12. NSBE History NSBE was founded at Purdue University in 1975 by six people known as “The Chicago Six” • John Logan (deceased) • Edward Coleman • George Smith • Stanley Kirtley(deceased) • Brian Harris • Anthony Harris. Advisor: Dr. Arthur Bond

  13. NSBE History • First national meeting April 10-12, 1975 - attend by 48 students representing 32 schools. Accomplishments included: • From SBE to NSBE • First National Chair Elected • NSBE Logo Created • Organization Split into 6 Regions • Mission Statement Written • First Constitution Drafted

  14. A&T NSBE History • Established March 1986 • Chapter 1213 • Considered a large chapter within the society

  15. NSBE Purpose • Produce more Black Engineers • Produce leaders • Produce well-rounded individuals
