  1. Data Collection

  2. Data Collection Scope • Data Collection/Analysis • Included in Version 2.0: • Enhanced the Data Collector (DC) framework and Data Collection Specification Tool (DCST) • Modified models and behaviors to step-up to DC and DCST enhancements • Improved data collection performance • Enhanced filtering of data collected • Data output in user defined formats • Implemented thread associations for causal analysis

  3. MCT DCST Data Collection Specification File: • Can select specific actor • Can select actor type • Can specify arbitrary attributes for collection or based on Thread. Collected Output Data File DCS File Specification File Formats: • CSV • XML • Binary SOD File Data Collection Specification Tool Reads Sim Node Reads Writes

  4. DCST GUI • Data Collection • Specification Tool • Allows for specification of data collection based on the following: • Entity • Type • Thread

  5. Data Loading

  6. Data Loading Scope • RIB Requirement: 142: “Tools and documented processes to quickly generate a new brigade-sized classified scenario (for example SWA 103.2 and SWA 110) from fundamental source(AMSAA) data : A to include loading a classified force and performance database. IMPROVE THE PROCESS OF LOADING OF PARAMETRIC DATA AND BEHAVIOR DATA” • Primary target use cases: • Load classified physical model data from AMSAA based on Standard File Formats. • Load in behaviour data from existing KAKE source files (currently developed formats).

  7. System Impacts • Baseline code and data reorganized into core and extensions • core contains OneSAF code/data used by all programs • extensions provide program specific tailoring of OneSAF code and/or data • Direction to read/write native data formats directly • AMSAA SFF format directly read • OneSAF Excel KAKE documents directly read • Elimination of data translation process from formats into XML • No significant change in system read/write performance • Data in the PAIR can be extended without changes to the base data • new services allow tracking of data extension and line item heritage/origin information for data collection (e.g. CACCTUS, SMDC)

  8. OneSAF DMT View Import Data PAIR System Changes • Addition of DMT tool • provides GUI driven data import into OneSAF • provides activation of any imported data set to runtime system

  9. DMT GUI • Lists the baseline, import, or runtime PAIR resource files • Available OneSAF models can be viewed by different criteria • source technical document • model classification • Java package name (primarily a developer view) • Model data unique keys can be queried
