  2. Animals in Ecuador Toucan, They eat insects and small lizards. The Murena. A Murena is part of the eel family. Capybara, It’s name means master of the grasses.

  3. Famous places, and Events The Galapagos Islands. The Galapagos islands has animals there you couldn’t find anywhere else. The Galapagos islands belong to Ecuador. This photo is of a craft sale in Otavalo, Ecuador that is every Saturday. People come from all around the world to see. Atacames, Ecuador is a famous for beaches.

  4. Popular Authors Alejandro Carrion Aguirre is famous in Ecuador for his short stories and poems. He died in 1992. Alfonso Moreno Mora, he is famous for his writing and his Poetry. Karina Galvez is a famous poet, and 46 years old. She now lives in California.

  5. Government • Ecuador has a representative democracy. • The vote for people to be representatives. • It is similar to Direct democracy. • The United states, Philippines, Australia, Canada and Germany also has representative democracy.

  7. Culture • Its language’s are Spanish, and Quichua (spoken by the Indian population) • They have a diverse of many different cultures In Ecuador. • Handy crafts still seem to be there passion from the ancient times.

  8. Tourist attractions The Ingapirca ruins are among the best archaeological ruins in Ecuador. Amazon Rain forest- 7million square kilometers. • Cerro Santa Ana, is in Guayaquil Ecuador Guayaquil is the largest and most populous city in Ecuador.

  9. History • Colonized by Spain • By 3200 BC, 3 agriculture based civilizations had been formed. • The first settlers called themselves the Inca’s.

  10. Geography • It is in the western part in south America. • The pacific ocean boarders Ecuador. • It has the Andes mountains in it.

  11. Ecuador Foods Morocho De Leche- Rice pudding flavored with cinnamon. Locro- potatoes soup Llapingachos- Cheesy potato cake.
