Idea Enters The Game Stage 1: Students are invited to submit ideas for making megacities smarter IDEA IDEA IDEA January 19 until March 2011: Our students will be able to submit ideas to the online idea marketplace “The Game” IDEA IDEA IDEA IDEA IDEA IDEA IDEA IDEA IDEA IDEA IDEA IDEA IDEA IDEA IDEA

Gains votes & value & wins Stage 1: Submitted ideas are traded in ‘The Game’ Participating students will receive currency through the idea marketplace to invest in and trade shares in each other’s ideas. The best ideas will attract the most investors in the idea, driving demand and price per share up. The highest share prices will reveal the best ideas. Those ideas will continue on to the second stage of idea maturation, where the best ideas will be selected for the CDIO Innovation Camp, a part of the CDIO Academy. IDEA

Stage 2: Maturing the best ideas at the CDIO Innovation Camp, June 20 to 23 Developed at CDIO Academy Idea owners of the top ideas from the idea market and their local team members will be invited to attend the CDIO Innovation Camp at DTU as a part of the 7th annual CDIO conference in June 2011. The top teams from all over the world will gather in our CDIO “city” on the DTU campus in Copenhagen, Denmark. During the 4-day Innovation Camp, students will mature their winning ideas, together with lectures and coaching from top international faculty involved in the CDIO Conference. Students will work, live, and enjoy in the Innovation Camp City. IDEA

  10. Wins competition & CHANGES THE FUTURE OF MODERN CITIES! Stage 2: Awarding and Celebrating the best ideas at the CDIO Innovation Camp The camp will end with an Idea Challenge to award the top 10 best ideas and to celebrate the power of collaboration for the future of our cities. IDEA

What can I do? • Motivate your colleagues to spread the word among as many students as possible • Motivate your students to register at the CDIO Idea Market and to submit ideas for making Mega Cities smarter • Help your students to develop ideas for addressing Megacity challenges • Talk about the opportunity to trade ideas from all over the world • Look forward to coming to the 7th CDIO conference at DTU in June 2011
