Content Requirement Master of Arts in Education Application
Content Requirement Options Most content area applicants will meet the requirement either by:1. proving 24 semester hours, of college level coursework in the content area, from a regionally accredited college or university, using a transcript evaluation worksheet (phone Western to order, $40, ph. 970-943-2030). or by 2. passing the appropriate content exam. PLACE or Praxis II Please view specific coursework & content exams (listed at the bottom) of each content area worksheet: http://www.cde.state.co.us/cdeprof/Licensure_alt_endorsements.asp *EXCEPTION: Special Education and Elementary Education applicants must pass and pass the Praxis II #0014 or 5014 (or PLACE #01), for Elementary content. , Music and Spanish
Content Evaluation Worksheet • All courses must be represented, on the worksheet, in order to use the evaluation of transcripts, to prove content. • If all coursework is not present, you may: • take and pass the appropriate content exam, to meet the requirement. • take the college level courses that are lacking, before the application deadline, of July 15. • All Elementary and Special Ed. applicants are required to pass the Praxis II #0014/5014 or PLACE #01 • CLD and Principal applicants do not have a content exam, prior to entering the program.
