Welcome to Mrs. Kirk's Surf Shack, where we dive into learning! I am thrilled to teach fifth grade and share my passion for education with my students. With a background from the University of Montevallo and Auburn University, my goal is to inspire a love for learning. I am married to Trent and proud mom to three wonderful girls: Felicity, Aubrey, and Kenley. Together, we enjoy traveling, camping, and spending time at the beach. Here, you'll find important class schedules, assignments, and classroom management strategies to ensure a supportive learning environment. Let's make this year amazing!

  3. Schedule • 8:00-8:30P. E. • 8:30-9:00 Elective (Art/Keyboarding) • 9:00-9:10 Transition (Locker/Restroom) • 9:10-11:00 Block 1 Math • 11:05-11:30 Lunch • 11:30-12:15 Block 1 Science/Social Studies • 12:15-12:20 Transition • 12:20-3:00 Block 2 Languages Arts

  4. Important Information • Friday Folders: graded papers, notes, conduct • Redo D/F papers • Assignment Pad: Block 1 & 2, write down homework, assignments, test • Return Parent Questionnaire – Monday 20th

  5. Math • Complete Homework Monday – Thursday • Multiplication Facts!!!!!!!!!!! • QUIZ - Friday

  6. Science/Social Studies • Read notes & lesson each night • Study Guide 2 days before Test

  7. Classroom Management Plan • Conduct Checklist • First point – verbal warning • Second point– silent lunch • Third Point – Time Out to complete reflection form • Fourth point– Conduct Report to be signed by parent • Fifth Point – Office Referral
