What Do We Do? • Every year on the first week of January F.I.R.S.T releases a game idea that students build their robot upon. • Our task is to build a robot in 6 weeks that follows all the rules of the game. • So far theirs been games that have been based on sports such as • Basketball • Ultimate Frisbee • Volleyball • The games change every year! Nothing stays the same!

  5. Opportunities • As a member of Team 181 you have a chance to travel • F.I.R.S.T student are offered many college scholarships from top universities around the world. • Having Fun!

  7. Who’s the Birds of Prey • Birds Of Prey was born in 1996, • Our main members come from • Hartford High • Pathways • Our Mentors come from • Pratt and Whitney • Teaches from the schools • Returning students who were on the team

  8. Achievements • 2007 – Philadelphia regional • 2012 – Chesapeake Bay regional (Baltimore) • 2012-Ct state regional (Ct) • 2012- Teaches pet award • 2012- Highest rank : At Bash at the beach • 2012- Semi- Finalist in world championships • 2013- Spirit award at WPI (Massachusetts)

  9. How to join All you have to do to sign up is see Mr. Deandre in Room 122 and ask about joining. Every Tuesday, transportation is provided to Hartford High, where meetings are held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
