  1. Proteus Ethernet WeldSaver® Vortex vs. Paddlewheel Same foot print Higher flow rates Optional temperature measurement

  2. 2010 – EtherNet I/P Global III 2012 – EtherNet I/P Global IV • Common Characteristics • G3/4”connections at all ports • Software control through robot pendant • OMAL G3/4 pneumatic valve • XE Auxiliary Power connection • Same mounting bracket • Differences • - 2 paddlewheel flow sensors - 2 vortex flow sensors • - EtherNet connection on top - EtherNet connection on underside- Machined brass construction - Cast stainless steel construction

  3. Flow Sensors • As water flows around a bluff body inside the flow channel, swirling vortices are formed and carried down stream at the velocity of the water. Alternating localized high- and low-pressure zones are detected by a piezoelectric element that produces a pulse each time a vortex passes. This frequency output is measured by the WeldSaver’s microcomputer. • 0.5” ID of flow channel allows flow range of> 50 LPMwith OMAL valve • Vibrating sensor is wear resistant, flow calibration greatly extended • Flow calibration is independent of water temperature • A six-spoke rotor mounted on a stainless steel shaft spins at a rotational frequency directlyproportional to the linear velocity of the water entering the flow chamber. Magnets embedded in the rotors switch a Hall-Effect sensor on and off. The frequency output is measured by the WeldSaver’s microcomputer. • 0.4” orifice provides flow rate of 30 LPM with OMAL valve. • Wear at journal bearing causes slow downwards shift of flow calibration • Flow calibration changes with temperature

  4. Distance between pipe centers are identical Same mounting plate is used Heights of electronics boxes are identical 2” extensions at all ports create laminar flow for the vortex sensors Extensions also allow easy conversion from G¾” to ¾” MNPT Dimensions – front view Dimensions for reference only!

  5. Electronics box is deeper by 0.3” Distance of pipe centers from back of mounting plate is identical Overall height increases by 4” Dimensions – side view Dimensions for reference only!
