New Events for 2014-2015 • Personal Financial Literacy Event • Will include one role-play with a judge and a financial literacy comprehensive exam. • New exam focused on financial literacy • Structured similarly to the Principles of Business Management and Administration Events and will be specifically for first-year DECA members.
New Events for 2014-2015 • Financial Consulting Event • Will include a prepared presentation with a judge and a comprehensive exam. • Structured similarly to the Professional Selling Events with a new focus provided annually in the DECA Guide

2013-2014 Professional Selling Events Topics • PSE – sell tablets to educational institution to aide in instruction and reduce textbook expenses • HTPS – sell a program to train workers in city’s hospitality sector (hotel concierges, museum guides, cab drivers, etc.) to be friendlier and more customer service oriented
2013-2014 Business Operations Research Events Topic • Development of a plan to rebrand an existing business or organization to add value to the brand • Efforts may include new logos, mission statements, signage, digital media, store layouts, and the like • Goal = add value to the brand
