  3. Information about the Firefox Browser Theme • A Firefox browser theme is made up of two images. • One for the headerand one for the footer.7

  4. Get your images ready • Find good-looking images with subtle, soft contrast, gradients work best and at least 3000 pixel wide • Requirements: • Header Image: 3000 pixels wide x 200 pixels tall, PNG or JPG format, 300 KB maximum file size • Footer Image: 3000 pixels wide x 100 pixels tall, PNG or JPG format, 300 KB maximum file size

  5. Using Pixlr to edit images • Open your image • Select the rectangular selection tool • Select “Fixed size” in the Constraint box • Enter a width of 3000 pixels and a height of 200 • Select an appropriately size area of the image

  6. Crop the image • Select image • Crop in Pixlr • Save it to your computer • File  Save in Pixlr • Repeat this process if you want a footer image, but make sure it is only 3000X100 instead of 3000X200

  7. Configure Your Custom Theme • Click the Personas Plus icon on the tool bar • Point to Custom Persona, and click Edit • Browse for the header image file • It will appear automatically on your Fire fox tool bar

  8. Enable Your Custom Theme • Install Mozilla’s official Personas Plus Extension • Restart your browser after installing it • Click the Personas Plus icon on your tool bar • Select Preference • Activate the “ Enable custom Personas” check box • Click OK
