  4. PROCEDURES 1. Entering the classroom: Come in quietly and have a seat in your assigned seat.

  5. 2. Be prepared to learn • Get out materials, sharpen your pencil • Begin the warm-up.

  6. 3. Act like young adults • Accept responsibility for your actions • If you make a mess, clean it up • Come into class ready to learn and understand what is going to be expected of you that day

  7. 4. Proper Language • Only appropriate language will be allowed in the classroom at all times. • Inappropriate language will be dealt with immediately and according to the rights and responsibilities handbook of our school. • This room is NOT an extension of the playground, soccer field, etc,….don’t treat it as such.

  8. 5. DISMISSAL • Make sure that your area is clean and straightened. • The bell does NOT dismiss you, we DO!

  9. Materials that you will need for this course • Your science NOTEBOOK that will be brought to class EACH day unless otherwise told so. • Pencils • Colored pencils

  10. WARM-UPS!!! • Unless otherwise told, you MUST enter class and begin the warm-up immediately. • The warm up will be apart of your notes and will be graded as apart of the daily and class participation grade. • There is no exceptions to this rule!

  11. Class work/Homework • We expect you to do your homework for this course. We do not assign unnecessary class or homework, therefore all assignment must be completed. • All homework/Class work MUST BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO BEING ALLOWED TO SIT FOR AN ASSESSMENT! • i.e. You have to do ALL of your homework before you will be given a test to take. If you neglect to do your homework, you will be required to come after school and complete the assessment once you have become current with your assignments.

  12. TID-BITS TO TAKE HOME • NO, means NO! We will NOT change oyur minds if you ask me something and my response is no, so DON’T KEEP ASKING! • Go to the restroom before class starts! The bathroom is down the hall, so there is no excuse for you not to stop there before you come in. • NO EXCUSES, JUST RESULTS! The final exam at the end of the semester is cumulative. Therefore you must pass BOTH the course and the exam for credit.

  13. Absolutely NO: • Music Devices AND Cell Phones! • On the first offense: If they ring or vibrate during class, they will be taken and returned at the end of the period. • On subsequent offenses: Devices will be taken and given to the appropriate administrator. THIS IS YOUR WARNING! • PROFANITY: Profanity will not be tolerated at ANY POINT OF THE YEAR

  14. FINALLY: • We are FAIR and enforce all rules evenly. • If you want to discuss ANY punishments that you may earn, we can discuss them like adults when the time is appropriate.
