  1. Closing K.Itakura KEK Theory Center

  2. “High energy scattering at zero degree” treats “very forward” physics in pp, pA, AA collisions Is it a specific and restricted topic in physics? NO!! Rather, an interdisciplinary and rich field requiring deep understanding of the nature!

  3. - Hadronic cross sections at high energy - Diffraction - Pomerons and Reggeons - Underling Events Particle physics - Heavy-ion collisions - Limiting fragmentation and baryon stopping - Ultra-peripheral collisions - Gluon saturation (Color Glass Condensate) - Single Spin Asymmetry Zero degree Cosmic ray physics Hadron nuclear physics - High energy p-Air collision - Forward cross section - Inelasticity

  4. There are unsolved problems. - High energy behavior of hadronic cross section  Interplay btw soft (non-perturbative) and hard (perturbative) physics - Composition of High Energy Cosmic Rays? - Where can we clearly see gluon saturation? - How particle production occurs at low energy? - etc, etc… There are new experimental data, more will come, and new projects! - Lots of data from collider experiments LHC (TOTEM, ALICE, CMS, LHCf, LHCb) and RHIC and Cosmic Ray experiments (Auger, TA) - sPHENIX, RHICf, ALICE upgrade, … - Theorists must stay tuned…

  5. There are many good people interested in zero-degree physics! • Need to keep in contact with each other and work together to share and solve the problems!

  6. THANK YOU • Thank you very much for your participation, especially from abroad, and active discussion. We also thank secretaries, students postdocs, and Chez Jiroud in Nagoya University. The workshop was not possible without all of them. • Let’s thank “local” LOCs (Itow-san, Sako-san) for their great work and hospitality. • We hope to have the “second” zero-degree workshop somewhere else. • Have a nice trip back to your home!
