Why Worry about Water Ethics? • Water management decisions are driven by values (ethics) which are often tacit (i.e. not recognized consciously) • Current water management is unsustainable • Awareness about the operative values is an important step for achieving sustainable management • Identify the values, then reflect on them, then try to adopt better ones. • “You can’t manage what you don’t know”
