When you are mainstreamed, there are certain expectations that I have for you. These are things that you are responsible for because you are so mature that you can do it. • Please remember these expectations.
Expectations • Great behavior • You are in the mainstream classroom because you can behave appropriately. If you cannot behave, you will come back to class.
Expectations • Pay Attention • Follow what the interpreter is signing. She is there so that you understand everything in the classroom. If you didn’t see what she said tell her to repeat it.
Expectations • Know what to do • When your mainstream teacher tells you to work on something, please make sure you completely understand what you are supposed to do. If you are even a little bit confused, ask the teacher what to do.
Expectations • Know your due dates • Please make sure you understand if you need to work on it in Ms. Moore’s class, homework, classwork later or when is it due?? • This is your responsibility. Not the interpreter. Not Ms. Moore. YOURS!
Expectations • Privilege • It is a privilege to be in that classroom. You should feel lucky! Not all deaf ed students get to go into mainstream. I put you in those classes because I wanted you to do your best. Please show me and your teacher your best.
Please Remember: • Great behavior • Pay attention • Know what to do • Know your due dates • Privilege • If you remember these things, Ms. Moore will be happy! Happy!!
