This study involves 12 rats (5 males, 5 females, 2 parental) maintained on a Purina 5001 diet, aged 8 weeks. Over a two-week period, body weight, body temperature, and respiratory parameters are monitored. After 10 days on a high-salt diet (4% NaCl), 24-hour urine collections are conducted using metabolic cages, followed by ultrasound assessments and blood sampling for vascular protocols. The experiment aims to evaluate vascular relaxation and contraction responses to dietary changes while assessing kidney and heart weights.
