WPS Current System Current Hardware • 1 Server (& 1 Media Server) • 48 PCs (26pcs - 3+ years old, 22pcs – 6+ years old) • 32 teacher/admin laptops • 20 student laptops + 6 Lexia Laptops • 7 Wireless Access Points Current Software • Windows XP, Office 2007, educational software (Numbers Up, etc…)

  3. Current Areas of Concern • Ageing Classroom PCs • Limited Virus Protection – MOE Software • Limited Drive Storage on the Server • Data Backup – Antiquated Tape System • Unstable Network • End of Teacher Laptop Lease

Suggested Future Planning • Leasing New Desktop PCs for Classrooms, Admin, Library • Lease New Server or Upgrade current server with more storage drive space • Network upgrade – Snups (80/20),KAREN (fiber) • New Backup system – Online or larger external backup drives • End of Current Teacher Laptop Lease – Purchase or Return.
