  1. Invention Brainstorming • Think about the inventions, gadgets, and gizmos that currently exist that make your life easier, better, healthier, or more entertaining. List at least ten. • Finish each of these sentences: • My life would be easier if… • My life would be better if… • My life would be healthier if… • My life would be more entertaining if… • What could possibly be invented to better fulfill your above wishes? List as many ideas as you can think of… (at least five)

Invention Infomercial Speech 2-5 min. • Pick one of your possible inventions that you think you could actually sell if you were to invent it. • Describe what it would do. • Describe what it would look like. • Describe how it would work. • Name it. • Plan how you would advertise your invention • Why would people want to buy your invention? (at least five reasons) • What catchy slogan could you use to advertise your invention? • Create a fictional testimonial: Invent an imaginary person and describe how his or her life was made better by your invention - Make up details for your advertisement: options/pricing/deadline/contact info./etc. • Prepare to present the above information in a 2-5 minute Invention Infomercial speech. It may be either fully written out or spoken impromptu from your completed outline.
