To facilitate students by simplifying the historical & intellectual contexts of Russell’s essay • To familiarize the students with the major socio-political movements mentioned by Russell. • To inspire and enable the students to narrow down the intellectual gulf between West and the East in perspective of Russell’s essay • To make students learn (and unlearn) through objective analysis of the historical flaws and lapses mentioned by Russell LONG TERM GOALS

  3. To make the students understand the THEME of Russell’s essay • To enable the students to decipher the Socio-cultural Diversity of the East and the West • To educate the students about the different isms discussed by Russell SHORT TERM GOALS

  4. Make students think high. • Let students avail sufficient time for pair / group discussions. • Ask students how they could make their answers. • Ask students to finalize a pair / group made answer, which they think is the best. INSTRUCTIONAL STRATEGIES AND TASKS
