This lesson focuses on identifying tenses in sentences and practicing rewriting them in different tenses. Students will copy a provided sentence into their books, recognize its tense, and then transform it into another tense, rewriting the new sentence alongside its designated tense. By doing so, they will enhance their understanding of past, present, and future tenses. This exercise is crucial for developing strong writing skills and improving grammatical awareness in English.

Board Work Monday October 22nd , 2012 Lo: I understand tense and can rewrite sentences correctly. Copy the following sentence into your book, identify and write the tense the sentence is written in beside the sentence. Change the tense of the sentence and rewrite the new sentence into your book, stating the tense of each sentence beside. Example: I ran to school as fast as I could, I was really worried I would be late. (past) I am running to school as fast as I can, I am really worried I will be late. (present) I will run to school as fast as I can, I am going to be worried I might be late. (future) I did not do my homework because I was too tired.
