CY 6-MONTH PRESIDENCY OF THE PCC • Handling of the Presidency from Denmark – May 2012 • Presidents meeting – July 2012 ( AGILE, EuroSDR, ELRA, EULIS, EUROGI, PCC at the invitation of EuroGeographics ) • New draft by CY PCC Presidency - August 2012 • Review ongoing (as of late August 2012) • CY Proposed Meeting in Cyprus – September 2012 (Cancelled) • Invitations for meeting of PCC – September 2012 • Contact with the Property Registration Authority Ireland – September 2012

CY 6-MONTH PRESIDENCY OF THE PCC • CY Proposed Meeting – October 2012 (WPLA London – Meeting of 4 Presidents) • Invitations for registration of delegates for the meeting in Cyprus – October 2012 • Official Application of the Irish Property Registration Authority – Full Member of PCC – October 2012 • Web – Questionnaire on Best Practices Prepared – October 2012 • Contact with MEP’s to attend – October 2012 • Finalisations of “Common Vision” – November 2012

  4. CY 6-MONTH PRESIDENCY OF THE PCC • Analysis of Web-Questionnaire Results – November 2012 • Printing of all official material for the event – November 2012 • Logistics / Preparations ….. • MEETING OF THE PCC IN CYPRUS • NOVEMBER 29 & 30 • APHRODITE HILLS RESORT • PAFOS - CYPRUS

  5. Specific Tasks for the CY Presidency of the PCC (in Denmark) • Deploy your strength instead of DUPLICATING! (each organisation should focus on its core business and complement each other) – a lot of important effort is being lost through duplication. • No organisation can do all the job, just by itself! • PCC should be the connecting link? • Change is difficult – step by step approach in order to achieve the big EUROPEAN picture • Improve ourselves in order to improve Europe • Survey on Best Practises?? Maximise use of existing channels – Hot topics at EU Level?? • Survey for Expansion of the PCC website??

Specific Tasks for the CY Presidency of the PCC • Finalise the “Common Vision” among ELRA, EUROGEOGRAPHICS, PCC AND EULIS • Maximise the use of existing channels to engage with MEP's and EU • Increase visibility of PCC and of what Cadastres and Land Registries ‘are and do’ • Cadastre is a part of the solution for e‐government • Development of Cadastres and Land Registries • Role of land market to provide financial stability • Spatial data infrastructures • Information systems (open data, accessibility)

Specific Tasks (thoughts) for the IRISH Presidency of the Permanent Committee on Cadastre • Expand on the Best Practices Issue? • Financial Crisis / Property: Solutions?? • Joint Meetings with Other Organisations? • Invite other like-minded organisations to join the “Common Vision” initiative? • How do Land Registries and Cadastres facilitate economic growth? • PCC Website Expansion? • Role of PCC? • Raise awareness among decision making bodies? • GOOD LUCK IRELAND!!!
