  4. 1. Capacity Building • A capacity building programme for GFPs and H.R practitioners facilitated • To host 2 days Gender fora meetings per quarter for coordination, integration, gender mainstreaming and capacity building

  5. 2. Gender budgets • Monitor the development and submission of gender budgets to treasury

  6. 3. Gender Indicators • Development of gender indicators aligned to Gauteng Provincial Government priorities • Workshop on gender indicators

  7. 4. Gender Audit • Audit all Departments on the status quo of policies, gender management systems, gender responsive budgets, and enabling strategies for gender programming including how gender mainstreaming is understood in the province

  8. 5. Gender Mainstreaming • Facilitate mainstreaming of gender into the 5 year strategic plans of Departments • Facilitate the POA on violence against women and children with the lead Department- Community Safety

  9. 6. Development of Gender specific policies • Training for GFPs in policy development • Assist Departments in developing gender policies

  10. 7. Transversal Programmes • Co-ordinate Women’s Month and Women’s Day commemoration • Support SRAC to co-ordinate the commemoration of 16 Days of Activism

  11. 8. Implementation of Women’s Dialogue POA Ensure the implementation of the Programme of Action arising from the provincial dialogue held in March 2005(provincially and regionally)

  12. Implementation of POA Provide strategic support to the Inter-Governmental Gender Forum (IGGF) • Quarterly meetings held with the IGGF for coordination of gender programmes and mainstreaming of gender
