This proposal outlines several enhancements for the Diary and Change Order Items screens within the system. Key recommendations include adding an automatic day-of-the-week computation next to the date field on the Diary screen to facilitate time charge management, adjusting display settings to 800x600 pixels, and reversing the order of fields on the Change Order Items screen for better accessibility. Additionally, a new interface between SiteManager and FieldManager is suggested for improved functionality, with guidance on funding source allocation for contract adjustments.

Submitted by Arkansas Enhancement: On the Diary screen, a day of the week field should be added next to the date field. The day of the week should compute automatically from the date entered. Benefits: Since time charges and other items are affected by which day of the week they occur on, addition of this field would keep users from having to check a calendar for the day of the week.
Submitted by TAG Change the screen display to 800 x 600 pixels for those screens that are specifically requested. Others will be changed at a later date. Reference 4367
Submitted by TAG On the Change Order Items screen, reverse the order of the “Category” and “Project Number” fields and change the tab order to “Line Number”, “Project Number”, “Category.” Add Change Order Explanations to the Services drop down menu
TAG Recommendation 3639 General System Enhancements: Add a new interface between SiteManager and FieldManager. The TAG does not support this interface as written because of cost and the large number of TMRs outstanding for SiteManager. Recommend looking at the possibility of modularizing it.
TAG Recommendation 4042 – Associate funding source for estimate adjustments (for material stockpile) 4274 – All contract adjustments should include funding source allocation. Recommend 4042 and 4274 should be combined. Nebraska will withdraw #4042
TAG Recommendation 4743 – Create a funding cap. This should be looked at if/when working on 4274.
