  3. Email Addresses To receive emails, you will need an email account and an email address If you want to send emails to other people, you will need to obtain their email addresses

  5. Creating an account • To have an email address, you need to choose an email provider • Then create a username and password You will need a username and password to access your account

  6. Secure Passwords Create a password that is hard to crack • Your password should contain: • At least 8 characters • Capital letter • Numbers • Symbols Example: WatchTheRain2night2011$ • Bad passwords: 123456 2014 Abc123 password iloveyou sunshine

  7. Click on “Compose” to create a message
