  2. Access to email has become an expectation in many areas of our lives - at home, at work, in education. Government policy now dictates electronic contact with public bodies. -------- But just how accessible do teachers and learners want to be? How accessible should they be? With the advances in mobile technology, is being accessible anywhere by email an essential or desirable goal for teachers and learners?

Associate LecturerPerson Specification As an associate lecturer, you should have: • the ability to use information and communication technology in teaching and supporting students • the ability to work with students with disabilities • an understanding of and commitment to equal opportunities policies and practices • good written and oral communication skills • availability and accessibility to students • All associate lecturers are required to use ICT (e.g. email) to make contact with and respond to students
