  2. Strategic Action Items Overview Each year the Board of Directors will review this plan, the current action items and the metrics and determine action items for the upcoming year The following strategic action items were implemented by Twin Cities Diversity in Practice during 2014

  5. Strategic Actions Items 2014 Summary Diversity in Practice 2014 membership increased to a total of 45 member organizations with over 3000 individual members. Focus was put on the following action items: - Continued programming with a focus on metrics - Redesign of the website - Creation of a Sponsorship Pilot Program

Strategic Action Items 2014 Review Continued current programmingTCDIP 1L Summer Rotation Clerkship 2012: 13 students 2013: 17 students 2014: 16 students (9 will be returning in 2015) Ambassador Program with Mapping Your Legal Pathways 2012: 55 Mentor / Mentee Matches 2013: 59 Mentor / Mentee Matches 2014: 60 Mentor / Mentee Matches

Strategic Action Items 2014 Review Redesign of the Website Highlights: Responsive DesignReorganization of content to create a more user friendly experienceCompatible with mobile devices and social media Member Log in area updated and user friendlyBlog There has been a continued attention to the social media platforms: Facebook: 189 likes Twitter: 362 followers Linked groups: 118 members Linked in Company page: 70 members

Strategic Action Items 2014 Review Creation of a Sponsorship Pilot Program • The Sponsorship Pilot Program for Twin Cities Diversity in Practice was developed by the Sponsorship Working Group led by Erik Rucker. It is limited in scope and participation levels so the process and results can be monitored, measured and analyzed, and the costs can be managed. The following tools & program support was created by The Sponsorship Working Group: • - Sponsorship Took Kit - Sponsorship Program Outline - Three Surveys (given before start / mid-way / and at conclusion) - Pilot Program Invitation - Pilot Program Point People selected from each participating firm

Strategic Action Items 2014 Review Creation of a Sponsorship Pilot Program • Training Program was developed by Val Jensen & Kristine McKinney - Sponsorship in Practice Video - Sponsor / Protégé training sessions in September • - Personal Profile Evaluator by Discovery - Expectations and Next Steps • Programming to come: • - December: Sponsorship Holiday Happy Hour - February: Focus Groups - August: Wrap up Dinner - Other items as needed

Agreed Key Areas of Focus • Provide an inclusive community, tools and support to attorneys of color currently practicing in the Twin Cities to facilitate their successful integration and Advancement in the practice of law in the Twin Cities. • Provide thought leadership, programs and facilitated communication to and among members to support them in their efforts to create a more inclusive work environment where all attorneys, but most specifically attorneys of color, can succeed and be Retained by members.
